I am actually using a Nikon Coolpix, but I want to work my way up to a better camera here soon. Any suggestions?

How many megapixels does it have? And what ISO are you shooting at?

The reason I'm asking is, it looks like a very low resolution image (and I confirmed that by looking at the few properties I could check, when I right clicked on the image). I'm pretty sure this could have been a much better-looking image if A. You shot it at the lowest ISO possible and B. You save it in as large a file as you can - preferably 300 dpi, and as a TIFF file if you can. Just a suggestion...

The camera has 14.2 megapixels. 7x the zoom. I am not real familiar with an ISO. The photos say 100 for the ISO. How do you change it? I guess it would help if I read the manual.lol

Wow - that's good, on both the megapixels and the ISO. I would try saving a copy of the original at a much higher dpi, say 300, and as a TIFF file if you can. It will create a much larger file, and should have much better resolution.
